More infomation about Tonezzer Matteo:

Matteo Tonezzer graduated “cum laude” in Physics of the Matter from University of Trento in 2008 with a thesis on the growth of zinc oxide nanowires.

He is currently a PhD student in Physics at the University of Trento, and works in the NanoScience Lab of the National Research Council.

He works on the deposition of polycrystalline organic thin films by SuMBD (Supersonic Molecular Beam Deposition) and fabrication of organic devices.

His main area of interest are sensing properties of nanostructured materials.

About project:

Matteo is working on the SPONGE project, about nanostructured gas sensors for environment. The idea behind the project is splitted in two parts:

exploiting the properties of the highly ordered organics deposited by SuMBD on a side and the high response of metal oxide nanowires on the other side.

The project aims to build different architectures, like resistive sensors, active single-nanowire transistor sensors and on-chip sensors.
