The delegation was welcomed by Prof. Ha Duyen Tu - Vice President, Senior lecturer Hoang Xuan Lan - Director of International Cooperation Department, Assoc. Prof. Huynh Quyet Thang - Dean of School of ICT, representatives of other departments and approximate 1,000 students.
"I am very joyful to share the chances which cloud computing brings and its potential effects on Vietnam" said Steve Ballmer in the rapturous applause. He stated that cloud computing has already been as a worldwide trend and no country could be an outsider in the near future.
To Ballmer, cloud computing helped people enhance and improve their communication for individual goal, society and works. "The wonderful thing in cloud computing is converging all advantages of Internet” said Ballmer.
In the past, he added, it was most difficult for student and developer to create a new application. They did not know how to release them broadly and persuade people to setup and deploy such application. Currently, thanks to cloud computing, such barriers are not problems.
"Authors shall be able to release them worldwide and earn money more easily than ever", said Ballmer. He also highlighted that with a large application of cloud computing many kinds and models of new business could be developed. So, with energy, young strength and creativity, students are recommended to be especially suitable for new technology such as cloud computing.
The second advantage, as mentioned by Steve, is the capability of self-learning like robots in science fiction, which in reverse direction, would help students study, decide and take action.
"Go into the cloud!"
It was eventful in C2 Hall that Steve also mentioned far-sighted very enjoyably in future with humorous examples that makes audience burst out laughing. To illustrate for the appearance in the near future of Xbox and TV game toys that are intelligent enough to render real-virtual, Steve kicked several times at the stage with tremendous applause from the audiences.
Before leaving C2 Hall, Steve Ballmer took photographs with leaders, officials and students.
